These are the rules. With love from your Digital Marketing Professionals
Digital marketing professionals spend a lot of time doing two things. Discussing cool new web technology and all the brilliant things we can do with. We also complain about the simple mistakes that brands make on their websites. We complain a lot. It’s not that we don’t like brands, in fact we love them. We work hard for them. We give them our best ideas and do everything we can to make them succeed.
High-street brands have the budget, balls and brains to build some of the best digital experiences possible and instead build some of the worst.
… so brands make mistakes, there’s nothing wrong with that. But if they’re basic mistakes being made time after time, then big budgets are being wasted and everyday web users are getting a crappy experience.
Dear Brands is a a set of rules so simple that all digital folk can agree on them. They’re written to help brands teams make the web a better place.
If your a digital professional please show your support for these rules by adding your comments to the rules you like. If you manage a brand, please read the rules. Remember them. Have fun!
